Happy Holidays to One and All!

This year your fuzzy companions will be safe and warm and thankful that they have a wonderful home. While our critters are also thankful, they would say...if they could...that living in a shelter is not the same as having a home of their own.
Sally was rescued just two weeks ago. She's a 7 year old overweight, unspayed, little dwarf who's eldSally-72erly person suddenly passed away and the rest of the family didn't want her, so she's spending this holiday season with us. Because of her age Sally will need to have blood work done to see if her liver can handle anaesthesia. Once spayed she'll be ready for her new home. Your donation for Sally's veterinary bills, will help us to continue to help other animals in the coming year.
Dear Santa,
We've been very good this year, so here's our Christmas list.
     10     8' 2x4's
       9    pounds of nails
       8    drywall panels
       7    rolls of insulation
       6    ceiling fans
       5    gallons of paint
      4    8' x 5' windows
      3    kitchen cabinets
      2    bathroom toilets
      1    nail gun
and a hundred new volunteers!

Pepper-72Pepper is a youngster, less than one year old. He's social, affectionate and even likes being held.    Other Rabbits

Harley is a sweetie. At one year oHarley 3ld, she enjoys head and cheek rubs. Now that she's spayed, all she needs is a boy pig to call her own.

We have great news. The permit application for our new shelter has just been submitted to King County! We understand it can take 3-6 months for approval or for additional requirements. We'll keep you updated as this progresses.

It's not too late to make a donation that you can deduct from your 2010 taxes. Or, you can pickup a Gift Card for our fuzzies while you're shopping for your other loved ones.

Happy Holidays to you and your family, from Sandi and all of our fuzzies.........

Sung to the tune of: I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

I'm Dreaming of a White Bunny
Somebun to love and call my own.
With those pretty ruby eyes
and big fluffy tail,
Oh, I want one in my home!

I'm Dreaming of a White Bunny
With long white ears to listen at night
May your buns be healthy and bright
And may all your new bunnies be white.

I'm Dreaming of a White Bunny
With fur that glistens in the light
May your buns be healthy and bright
And may all your new bunnies be white.

Rabbits often enjoy a good x-maCarrots on Tree-Erikas tree. To eat ... not to look at. Keep flocked trees away from your rabbit. As with this tree, lights & decorations must be kept above bunny height when he's on tip toes. Or, you can use an x-pen to enclose the tree to keep bunnies at a safe distance from the tree.

If you want to enjoy some time under the tree with your bunny, you can hang baby carrots and other veggies from the bottom of your tree using ornament hangers. Your bunny will enjoy the healthy treat and it's fun for both of you.
